To all the girls who don’t always feel like enough…
You are so much more than that.
You are so much more than the number of people who “like” you.
You are so much more than the number of people who like & comment on your Instagram post.
You are so much more than any grade could ever define; than any award or worldly recognition could ever capture.
You are so much more than what any person says about you. As a matter of fact, you are so much more than what any group of people could say about you.
You are so much more than how you look. Than the clothes you wear. Than anything you could ever display for the world to see. You are so innately special & no thing could ever define you.
You are so much more than the number of parties & brunches & sleepovers you get invited to.
You are so much more than the number of boys who are interested in you.
You are so much more than the affirmation you try so desperately hard to receive from anyone & everyone & everything that is not God.
Because you see, sweet girl: you were MADE to be so much more. You were MADE to be amazing & wonderful & radiant & so, so loved. And what is so absolutely crazy for me to wrap my head around sometimes is that we are also all of those things r i g h t n o w.
Repeat after me: I am, right now, amazing & wonderful & radiant & so, so loved. I am strong & bold & courageous. And even when I don’t have it all together & I’m not getting all the likes and comments & my people are disappointing me, I am loved & heard & seen & e n o u g h. In fact, I’m so much more than enough.
So to all the girls who don’t always feel like enough…
I want you to know that you are so, so, so much more than that.
